How does GPS-verified time tracking work?

Employees clock in from a phone or kiosk, and Smartclocksystems records the GPS location alongside the punch. Locations can be geofenced so punches outside the expected job site are flagged for manager review — hours still get paid, but you can see exactly where every clock-in happened.

Does Smartclocksystems run payroll?

Yes. Smartclocksystems runs full payroll — gross to net, taxes, deductions, pay stubs and direct deposit — straight from approved timecards. If you'd rather keep your existing provider, approved hours, overtime, PTO and lunch deductions also export via our Gusto integration or as a CSV file you can upload to any payroll system.

Can I schedule shifts across multiple locations and time zones?

Yes. Smartclocksystems supports multi-location scheduling with per-location time zone overrides, drag-and-drop shift assignment, open shifts, swaps, and AI-assisted templates.

Does Smartclocksystems offer a free trial?

Yes. Every paid plan starts with a 30-day free trial, no credit card required. Paid plans are a monthly base fee plus a price per active employee, and there is a free plan for teams of 5 or fewer. See the pricing page for current plan details.

Who can become a partner?

Staffing agencies, HR and payroll consultants, accountants, resellers and software companies who work with businesses that manage hourly or shift-based teams.

How are referrals tracked?

Your referral link is tracked through to signup. A customer who signs up through your link is credited to you automatically, and you can see them in your portal. You can also register deals you're working on.

How much commission do I earn?

Commission rates and how long you earn on each customer are agreed when your application is approved, and shown in your partner portal. Commission is calculated on what your customers actually pay.

When do I get paid?

Commissions are reviewed and approved by our partnerships team, then paid out to the method on your profile. You'll get an email each time a commission is approved and paid.

Does it cost anything to join?

No. The partner program is free.
