How does GPS-verified time tracking work?

Employees clock in from a phone or kiosk, and SmartClock Systems records the GPS location alongside the punch. Locations can be geofenced so punches outside the expected job site are flagged for manager review — hours still get paid, but you can see exactly where every clock-in happened.

Does SmartClock Systems run payroll?

Yes. SmartClock Systems runs full payroll — gross to net, taxes, deductions, pay stubs and direct deposit — straight from approved timecards. If you'd rather keep your existing provider, approved hours, overtime, PTO and lunch deductions also export via our Gusto integration or as a CSV file you can upload to any payroll system.

Can I schedule shifts across multiple locations and time zones?

Yes. SmartClock Systems supports multi-location scheduling with per-location time zone overrides, drag-and-drop shift assignment, open shifts, swaps, and AI-assisted templates.

3. Third-party services

Stripe — sets cookies on the billing page for fraud prevention.
