One pay period, end to end

Watch an hour become a paycheck.

Same punch, same system, no exports. This is the real path a shift takes through Smartclocksystems — from a GPS-verified clock-in at Bay 4 to money in Marcus's account two days after approval.

Nothing here is a mock-up of a different product. Geofenced punches, photo verification, the sealed punch ledger, exception-first approvals, gross-to-net payroll and the two-day ACH window are the features running in Smartclocksystems today.

How one shift becomes a paycheck

  1. Marcus clocks in and out at Bay 4 on his phone — GPS-verified, photo-matched, sealed into the punch ledger.
  2. He submits his timecard for the Mar 3–16 pay period, adding a reason for one flagged missed break.
  3. Priya reviews the employer console, resolves both exceptions, then approves the remaining eighteen timecards in one click.
  4. Payroll runs pre-flight checks, calculates gross to net for 24 employees, and schedules ACH deposits for Friday, March 20.
  5. Two days later, Marcus's pay is deposited automatically and his phone shows the full stub breakdown.

Clocky answers from your live data — the same punches, schedules and payroll your team already works in. Employees ask about their own hours. Managers ask about everyone's.

How many hours do I have this week?
32h 15m through Thursday. You're 7h 45m from overtime — Friday's 8-hour shift would put you at 40h 15m.

Who's at overtime risk this week?
4 people — Dana R. (38.5h), Luis M. (37.2h), Aaron K. (36.8h), Tasha S. (36.1h). Moving Dana's Friday shift to Aaron keeps everyone under 40 and saves about $412.

Verified time

Hours you can defend in an audit.

Every punch carries a location, a timestamp and — if you want it — a face. Buddy punching stops being possible instead of being discouraged.

Geofenced sites
Draw a radius per location. Outside it, the punch is flagged — not silently accepted.
Photo verification
Optional selfie on clock-in, matched to the employee profile.
Immutable audit trail
Every edit logged with who, when and why. Nothing disappears.

Approved hours become paychecks. Same system.

No export, no re-keying, no Monday spreadsheet. Timecards flow straight into a payroll run — and if you'd rather keep Gusto, the clean export is still there.

Before you ask

The questions we get most.

Do you actually run payroll, or just export hours?
Both. Smartclocksystems runs full payroll — gross to net, taxes, deductions, pay stubs and direct deposit — straight from approved timecards. If you'd rather keep Gusto or your own provider, the clean export is still one click.
How long does setup take?
Most teams are clocking in the same day. Add a location, draw the geofence, invite your crew by email or phone. Kiosk mode needs nothing but a spare tablet and a PIN per employee.
What if my crew doesn't have smartphones?
Use kiosk mode. Any tablet becomes a shared punch clock with PIN entry and optional photo capture. Kiosk PINs are completely separate from web sign-in credentials, so nobody gets dashboard access they shouldn't have.
Can employees see each other's pay?
No. Pay data is locked to owner, employer admin, company admin, HR manager and payroll admin roles — enforced in the database, not just hidden in the interface. Client contacts and agency users never see rates at all.
What does it cost?
Flat monthly pricing, not per employee — so hiring ten people next month doesn't move your bill. Full plan details are on the pricing page.

Your next shift starts in a few hours.

Set up your first location, invite the crew, and have verified clock-ins running before it does.
